G. D. International School, Aliganj (Etah), provides a mobile app for students, parents, teachers, and school staff on Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, why it is used, and how it is protected.

The school controls student, staff, and academic records. EduYug provides the app platform and related services that help the school operate that information. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

Depending on your role, the app may collect or display:

• Account details such as name, username or email, password, school code, and role.
• School records such as class, section, attendance, homework, exams, fees, timetable, leave, notices, and messages.
• Profile details such as contact numbers, address, photos, and other information the school already keeps.
• Files you upload, including homework, assignments, gallery photos, voice notes, and account vouchers.
• Device information such as a device identifier, app version, operating system, and push-notification token.
• Technical logs such as crash reports and basic usage diagnostics used to keep the app stable.

3. How we use information

Information is used only to run school services, including:

• Signing you in and keeping your session secure.
• Showing dashboards, academics, fees, attendance, communication, and other modules enabled by the school.
• Sending school notifications such as notices, circulars, messages, and alerts.
• Uploading and viewing files attached inside the app.
• Improving reliability, fixing errors, and protecting accounts from misuse.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use school records for third-party advertising.

4. Permissions on Android and iOS

The app may ask for device permissions only when a feature needs them:

• Internet, to connect to the school’s EduYug services.
• Notifications, to deliver school alerts on Android and iOS.
• Photos / files, so staff or students can attach images and documents to gallery, homework, assignments, or vouchers.
• Microphone, only when voice notes or related audio features are used.

You can allow or deny these permissions in system settings. Denying a permission may disable only the feature that needs it.

5. Children’s information

The app may be used by students, including children, under the direction of the school and parents or guardians. Student information is collected because the school needs it to provide education services.

Parents or guardians who have a login can review relevant student information through the app. If you believe a child’s information should be corrected or removed, contact the school. The school will handle the request according to its records policy.

6. Sharing of information

Information may be shared only as needed to operate the school app:

• With authorized users in the school, based on the permissions the school assigns.
• With EduYug infrastructure that hosts the school’s data and delivers the app.
• With service providers who help run the app, such as Firebase for push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting.
• When required by law, school regulation, or to protect the safety of users.

These providers process information on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own unrelated marketing.

7. Storage, security, and retention

Account credentials and session tokens are stored securely on the device. School records are stored on EduYug servers used by G. D. International School.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Information is kept for as long as the school account is active and as long as the school needs the records for academic, fee, or legal purposes. When you log out, local session data is cleared from the device. Deletion of school records is managed by the school.

8. Your choices and rights

You can:

• Review and update profile information that the school allows you to edit.
• Turn notifications off in device settings.
• Log out to end the current session on this device.
• Ask the school administrator to correct, export, or delete personal information held in school records.

Because the school is the primary controller of student and staff records, most access and deletion requests must go through the school.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, school services, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
